Internet Safety

Educating the children in the safe use of technology is paramount to the visions and values of our school. We aim to ensure that all of our children remain safe when using technology especially in a world where we are becoming more and more reliant in its' advancement. We also want to create digital citizens who will leave education with the skills required to use technology responsibly.

Below, you will find information for parents to help understand the challenges we face in ensuring the continued safe use of technology in day-to-day life.

Zap and Zoom - A Space Race - film for 3-7 year olds

This is a 360 degree film which includes our animated characters Zap and Zoom, who also feature in our Education Pack for 3-7 year olds. In this film we see Zap and Zoom help young children who are playing a video game at home.

Data Detective - film for 7-11 year olds

We've created a Virtual Reality app, Digital Detectives, that allows 7-11 years to explore a virtual house while learning about consent online and the ways in which their information might be shared online. This film is to be used alongside the Education Pack for 7-11 year olds from our Safer Internet Day 2019 page www.saferinternetday.org.uk.

SID TV 2019: 'Surf' feat. Christian Foley - film for 11-14 year olds

"Surf" is a music video featuring spoken word artist Christian Foley and dancers from the Street Factory hip hop studio in Plymouth. The film encourages consideration of both the consent we give and the consent we ask from others in a connected world. Christian is a musician, poet, writer and teacher.
